Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline.
• 3-7 years' commercial software engineering experience in Python and/or C++ for high-performance systems.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and system performance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across engineering and business teams.
• Demonstrated progression and ownership in technical roles.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment.

Salary range: $350,000 - $850,000 total comp

As part of the firm's central engineering group, you'll design, build and optimise high-performance infrastructure and distributed systems that underpin global trading operations. You'll work on complex technical challenges where improvements in performance, scalability, and reliability have a direct impact on the business.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Mathematics, or another highly quantitative discipline with a strong academic record.
• 3-7 years' commercial software engineering experience, with strong proficiency in Python and/or C++, building high-performance, low-latency or performance‑critical systems.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and system performance.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and business teams.
• A demonstrated track record of progression, continuous learning and increasing levels of technical responsibility.
• Exceptional problem‑solving ability and the confidence to work independently in a fast‑paced, technically demanding environment.

Particularly valuable experience:

• Experience working in high‑growth, high‑performance startup environments.
• Founding Engineer or technical Co‑Founder experience, or being an early engineering hire responsible for building products from the ground up.
• Demonstrated ownership through 0-1 product development, platform builds or leading the delivery of complex engineering initiatives.
• Experience optimising systems for performance, scalability or latency-sensitive workloads.
