New York City (Midtown Manhattan) – Hybrid (3 days onsite)

$180,000 – $220,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Our client is a specialist technology consultancy partnering with some of the world’s leading financial institutions to build bespoke enterprise platforms, trading systems, and next-generation digital products.

They are currently looking for a Principal Full-Stack Developer to join a high-performing engineering team delivering modern trading and financial platforms within a front-office environment. This is a highly hands‑on IC senior engineering role combining architecture, technical leadership, and full-stack development.

The position would suit someone who enjoys operating within fast-moving, technically complex enterprise environments and is comfortable working directly with senior stakeholders inside large financial services organisations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading the design and development of modern full-stack trading and financial applications
• Building scalable front-end platforms using React / TypeScript
• Developing robust backend systems using Python or C#
• Architecting cloud-native solutions on AWS using modern infrastructure tooling
• Working closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering leadership
• Driving technical direction, delivery quality, and engineering best practices
• Contributing hands‑on across architecture, coding, and production delivery
