Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a software engineer for a contract assignment to design, develop, and maintain frontend and backend features powering warehouse safety and rotation solutions. You will collaborate with senior engineers and contribute to scalable systems processing billions of events.

Requirements include 3+ years in software or application development and a strong foundation in CS principles, with bonus exposure to AI-driven development and mentorship experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software or application development
  • Demonstrated background in full-stack or application development; candidates with experience limited solely to quality assurance without hands-on application development will not be considered

Job description

  • Participate in daily team standups and contribute to sprint planning sessions held on a bi-weekly cadence
  • Design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end application features that power job rotation and safety solutions for warehouse associates globally
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to define tasks, solve complex technical challenges, and deliver high-quality software
  • Contribute to operational work including monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving system reliability at massive scale
  • Build and maintain scalable systems capable of processing billions of events
  • Partner cross-functionally with global stakeholders to ensure technology solutions meet safety and operational goals
Skills:
  • Proficiency in Java for back-end application development
  • Proficiency in React for front-end application development
  • Strong ability to design and architect systems using industry-leading software design principles
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Solid foundation in software development and computer science principles applied to real-world application development
  • Bonus: Experience with AI-driven development or integrating machine learning capabilities into applications
  • Bonus: Demonstrated mentorship or informal leadership experience with junior engineers

This posting is for a contract assignment with Tundra Technical Solutions to provide services to a Fortune 5 Client.

The pay range that Tundra in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $52/hour - $57/hour. Tundra’s benefits offering includes optional medical, dental, vision, retirement benefits, and a New Child Benefit.
