Job summary

Macquarie Group in Houston is expanding its CGM Technology team to build and modernize the front-office-facing application stack for the Commodities and Global Markets business. You will work primarily with Java, Python and AWS, delivering production-grade software in an Agile environment and partnering with traders, quants and analysts to solve real business problems.

• Strong software engineering experience in Java and Python, with a track record of designing, building and supporting production-grade applications.
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with modern engineering practices, including CI/CD pipelines, GitHub workflows, and Linux/Unix environments.
• Knowledge of analytics and AI technologies, including Airflow, Dask, JupyterHub, LLMs, agentic AI frameworks, MCP tools and prompt engineering.

Join CGM Technology in Houston and play a key role in our expanding Engineering Services function. What role will you play?

Working mainly with Java, Python and AWS technologies, you'll deliver timely, robust software enhancements across a range of front-office applications and platforms. You'll work directly with the Houston CGM business, engaging with end users to understand their needs and turn them into practical solutions. Working within Agile and Scrum practices, you'll help modernize bespoke systems and continuously improve the resilience, scalability and usability of the technology our business relies on.

What you offer
