Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking a Data Engineer to develop and maintain data products across cloud infrastructure, data-ingestion pipelines, APIs and orchestration platforms. The role emphasizes ownership of delivery in a flat engineering structure with modern tech.

You will contribute to technical strategy and solve complex problems. We value a strong DevOps background, hands-on Python development, and AWS experience, plus Linux hosting and SQL/data-lake knowledge.

Qualifications

• Strong DevOps background with experience solving problems and building automation in data and cloud environments.
• Hands-on Python development with testing experience and exposure to cloud technology; AWS preferred.
• Linux hosting platforms experience, with EKS and container experience viewed favorably.
• Understanding of databases, data lakes, query engines, SQL and DDLs.
• High attention to detail and a consistent focus on data quality and reliable delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data products across cloud infrastructure, automation, data-ingestion pipelines, APIs and orchestration platforms.

As a Data Engineer, you will develop and maintain data products across cloud infrastructure automation, data-ingestion pipelines, APIs, query engines and orchestration platforms. Working within a flat engineering structure, you will contribute to technical strategy, solve complex problems and take ownership of delivery using modern technologies.
