Advanced Technology Systems Company (ATSC) is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain software for aerospace and defense systems in Gilbert, AZ. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• Experience developing with C++, C#, Java, Python, or C.
• Experience with IDEs, source control systems, and software development tools.
• Experience developing and executing software test plans and procedures.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall software lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain software applications for aerospace, defense, and mission-critical systems.

Position Summary

The Software Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop reliable, secure, and high-performance software applications that meet Department of Defense (DoD) customer requirements and mission objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain software applications supporting aerospace, defense, and mission-critical systems.
• Research, evaluate, and apply software engineering principles, computer science concepts, and mathematical analysis to develop innovative software solutions.
• Analyze customer requirements and technical specifications to determine the feasibility of software designs within established cost, schedule, and performance constraints.
• Collaborate with Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, and Hardware Engineers to define software architecture, interfaces, and system integration requirements.
• Design software systems using sound engineering practices, modeling techniques, and object-oriented design methodologies.
• Develop software for embedded systems, desktop applications, web-based applications, or system-level applications, depending on program requirements.
• Create and maintain software architecture documentation, interface control documents, technical specifications, and design documentation.
