Job summary

Harvey Nash is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Fremont, CA team. This hybrid role focuses on delivering software with C# and Python, collaborating across engineering peers, and supporting customers through deployment and adoption.

You will gather requirements, review specifications, and participate in design reviews while adhering to the SDLC and established processes. A strong foundation in OOAD and UML is preferred.

Job Description

• A leading technology company specializing in advanced automation and software solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to join its growing engineering team.
• This position is based in Fremont, CA, and offers a hybrid work schedule.

What You’ll Do:

• Gather requirements, develop software requirement specifications, and review specifications with project teams.
• Propose software designs, develop design specifications, and collaborate with engineering peers on design reviews.
• Develop and implement software using programming languages such as C# and Python.
• Participate in code reviews with fellow software engineers.
• Design, develop, and execute software test cases.
• Integrate software components into larger systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve system integration issues.
• Prepare release notes and technical documentation for new software features.
• Support customers with software implementation and adoption.
• Follow established software development lifecycle (SDLC) and product development processes.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience OR a minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience.
• Professional software design experience across at least 2 projects.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional programming experience with C#.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional programming experience with Python.
• Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Object-Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD).
• Experience with multi-threaded programming.
• Experience with network socket programming.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation

• Base Salary Range: $110,000–$150,000 annually.
• Starting compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, technical skills, education, qualifications, and geographic market.
• Eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus.
