Job summary

CTC Group is seeking Software Engineers to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems (analytics, real-time processing, large data sets) in Annapolis Junction / Ft. Meade.

Responsibilities include building backend services in Linux using Python, C++, or Java, and delivering scalable solutions. Design, implement, test, and deploy features end-to-end, optimize performance, and collaborate on architecture while upholding security standards.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university.
• 4 years of additional SWE experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

• Design, develop, and enhance scalable software across the full development lifecycle.
• Own features end to end, translating user needs into production-ready code.
• Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data interfaces for reliability and performance at scale.
• Debug, refactor, and improve existing codebases to resolve defects and adapt to new environments.
• Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and container deployments using Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to shape system design and make architectural decisions.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor developers to drive continuous improvement.

Summary

CTC Group is seeking Software Engineers, to develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Locations: Annapolis Junction / Ft. Meade

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance scalable software solutions across the full development lifecycle, from architecture and implementation through testing, deployment, and sustainment. Work in modern languages such as Python, C++, or Java to build backend services, APIs, and distributed data processing systems in Linux environments.
• Own features end to end, translating user needs into clean, secure, production ready code that supports distributed and performance driven systems. Implement efficient algorithms and optimize applications to meet functional, timing, and scalability requirements.
• Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data interfaces across structured and unstructured data stores, ensuring reliability and performance at scale.
• Debug, refactor, and improve existing codebases to resolve defects, increase maintainability, and adapt systems to new environments or evolving requirements.
• Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized deployments using tools such as Git, Docker, and Kubernetes to deliver consistent, high quality releases.
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to shape system design, define technical solutions, and make sound architectural decisions.
• Conduct code reviews, uphold engineering standards, mentor developers, and drive continuous improvement across software development practices.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Level 1 Qualifications

• Seven (7) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Level 2 Qualifications

• Fourteen (14) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Level 3 Qualifications

• Twenty (20) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Pay Information

The final salary may be influenced by various factors, such as location, labor categories, experience, education, and/or certifications. CTC also provides a variety of benefits as well as opportunities for continuous education and development. The estimated salary range for this position is $175,000 - $235,000.
