Job summary

Kforce Inc. is seeking a Senior Full‑Stack Engineer in the United States (Fort Lauderdale area) to design, develop, and maintain software applications, lead technical decisions, and mentor junior engineers.

The role emphasizes architecture, code quality, and collaboration across product, design, and engineering teams. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, applying back‑end and front‑end expertise, cloud platforms, microservices, and DevOps practices to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Certifications or advanced degrees welcomed.
  • 10+ years of proven full‑stack experience.
  • Solid back‑end knowledge (Node.js, TypeScript).
  • Strong front‑end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular/Vue).
  • Experience with peer reviews for iOS/Android apps.
  • Knowledge of Open‑source tools (e.g., MCP Supabase).
  • Foundational understanding of AI concepts is ideal.
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of microservices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with agile methods and PM tools.
  • Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Selenium).
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD.
  • Experience with notifications, payments, and media integrations is a plus.
  • Experience with relational and non‑relational databases; RESTful APIs; Git.

Responsibilities

  • Software design, development, and maintenance of applications and systems.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Software Design and Development: Designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and systems, often leading the technical design and architecture discussions.
  • Project Leadership: Taking ownership of software development projects from concept to completion, including planning, execution, and deployment.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers, fostering their growth and development.
  • Code Quality and Review: Ensuring code quality through code reviews, establishing and adhering to coding standards, and optimizing performance.
  • Technical Expertise: Leveraging deep knowledge of multiple programming languages and technologies to solve complex problems and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Collaboration: Working with cross‑functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Staying Updated: Keeping abreast of new technologies and trends in software development to ensure the team uses the latest tools and techniques.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications or advanced degrees.
  • 10+ years of proven experience as a Full‑Stack Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of back‑end technologies (Node.js, TypeScript).
  • Strong proficiency with front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js).
  • Experience actively participating in peer reviews for native iOS and Android mobile apps.
  • Open‑source knowledge (MCP Supabase).
  • Foundational understanding of AI (e.g., conversational, generative, automation) is ideal.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Experience with testing frameworks and tools (Jest, Mocha, Selenium, etc.).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with push notifications, email notifications, payment gateways (PayPal), digital media (audio/video), and deep‑linking is a plus.
  • Experience with relational and non‑relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design and development is preferred.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) is preferred.
Pay Range

The pay range presented is the lowest to highest compensation Kforce reasonably believes we would pay at posting for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on education, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, business needs, and union contract.
