Job summary

Aspida is seeking a skilled full stack engineer to join our Durham, NC team. You will build scalable REST APIs and rich UIs, leveraging Node.js, Java, ReactJS, and TypeScript while optimizing performance and reliability.

The role emphasizes ownership, strong communication, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver secure retirement solutions through our digital platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience as a full stack engineer.
• Strong experience with Node.js and Java (8+).
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Experienced with ReactJS/TypeScript front-end development.
• Excellent communication, ownership, and action bias.

Responsibilities

• Have strong experience with backend, frontend, JavaScript, relational databases, and error troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
• 2-5 years of experience as full stack engineer
• Well-versed in back-end development with languages like Node.js, Java (8+), etc.
• Strong understanding of SQL and Relational Databases
• Well-versed in front-end frameworks, preferably ReactJS/Typescript
• Good understanding of relational database systems
• Strong bias toward action and ownership
• Exceptional communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Writing well-documented REST APIs
• Experience in writing test automation scripts
