Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Deerfield, IL, seeks a software engineer to design and develop APIs, services, and integrations in cloud-based, distributed systems. You will implement maintainable software aligned with product and architecture requirements, build unit and integration tests, and participate in code reviews.

Experience with secure coding, observability, performance, and production support, plus working in Agile product teams, is preferred. Regulated domain exposure is a plus.

Job description

• API, microservices, cloud, and distributed-system development


• Automated testing, CI/CD, source control, and code-quality practices


• Secure coding, observability, performance, and production support


• Experience with Agile product engineering teams


• Retail, healthcare, pharmacy, or regulated platform experience preferred


• Design and implement maintainable software aligned with product and architecture requirements.


• Build APIs, services, integrations, and user-facing capabilities as applicable.


• Create unit, integration, and automated tests and participate in code reviews.


• Apply security, privacy, performance, reliability, and accessibility standards.


• Use logs, metrics, traces, and production insights to improve system health.


• Troubleshoot defects and incidents and implement sustainable corrective actions.


• Contribute to technical design, estimation, documentation, and engineering standards.
