Job summary

Ethereum Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Performance and Load Testing to build tooling and infrastructure for realistic workloads in large-scale environments. You will develop traffic-replay systems, process API logs, and transform datasets into test scenarios to help teams reproduce and remediate performance issues.

The ideal candidate has experience with distributed systems, APIs, data processing, automation, and performance engineering, and a drive to apply

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming experience with Python, Java, Go, C++, or similar languages.
• Strong understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, JSON, WebSockets, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
• Experience building automation, developer tooling, or data-processing systems.
• Experience working with large datasets, logs, or high-volume production telemetry.
• Strong understanding of software performance concepts including latency, throughput, concurrency, resource utilization, and scalability.
• Experience with databases and SQL.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across application and infrastructure layers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Performance and Load Testing to build the tooling and infrastructure required to generate realistic, production-like workloads for large-scale performance testing. This role will focus on developing traffic-replay systems, processing API and event logs, transforming large datasets into realistic test scenarios, and enabling engineering teams to reproduce and remediate performance issues.

The ideal candidate is a strong software engineer with experience in distributed systems, APIs, data processing, automation, and performance engineering, with an interest in applying AI and LLM-assisted techniques to accelerate test-scenario generation.

Required Qualifications
