Job summary

Kobie, a leader in loyalty solutions, seeks engineers who design and develop modern applications across Java/Spring and Angular stacks. You will participate in Agile sprints, build APIs, and collaborate across product, design, and operations to deliver reliable microservices in the cloud.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing and developing applications using Java and Spring (prefer JDK 11+ with Spring Boot).
• 3+ years front-end web application development with Angular (prefer 10+).
• 1+ years RESTful services using JSON.
• 1+ years building microservice cloud apps (AWS/Azure/Oracle).
• 1+ years SQL with multi-table queries (Oracle/PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters.
• Familiarity with Agile (Scrum).
• Experience in Loyalty, Accounting, or Banking domains (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of Agile planning and grooming.
• Work on integration points of our loyalty platform (live APIs, batch processing).
• Contribute to design sessions with product owners and team members.
• Document configuration and business logic rules clearly.
• Mentor teammates and promote good coding practices.
• Set accurate estimates and scope for tasks and projects.
• Develop simple solutions for complex problems.
• Explore innovative ways to improve processes and components.
• Collaborate effectively with other groups and third parties.

Travel Requirements

While travel requirements vary by role, periodic travel may be required to support business objectives, team collaboration, customer engagements, training, and company events. How you will make an impact

• Participate in all phases of Agile methodology (planning, grooming, coding sprint items)
• Gain knowledge and control of our loyalty platform integration points (live API's, Batch, Queue based processing).
• Participate in design sessions; work with product owners and team members to solve acceptance criteria
• Build and maintain all configuration and business logic rule documentation
• Assist other team members through coaching and mentoring
• Promote and demonstrate good coding practice and patterns for the team
• Set accurate time estimates and scope of work for tasks and/or projects assigned to you
• Fill information gaps as needed to accomplish gaps
• Develop simple solutions to complex problems
• Suggest innovative new ways to improve processes and/or components of work
• Effectively work with other groups and third parties

What you need to be successful

• 3+ years of experience designing and developing applications and components usingJavaand Spring (Prefer JDK 11+ with Spring Boot)
• 3+ years of experience in front-end web application development
• 1+ years of experience designing and developing applications usingAngular(Prefer version 10+)
• 1+ years of experience developing RESTful services using JSON
• Experience developing microservice cloud applications (Oracle, AWS, or Azure)
• 1+ years of experience developingSQLmulti-table queries, inserts, and updates (Prefer Oracle / PostgreSQL)
• Experience tuning SQL statements with execution explain plans
• Familiarity with Agile (e.g., Scrum Process)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
• Experience developing Loyalty, Accounting, or Banking applications
• Message Queues (RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Kafka Streams)
• Building Docker containers and configuring Kubernetes clusters (kubectl, Docker for Desktop)
• Build Management tools (Bitbucket/Git, Gradle, Bamboo)
