Job summary

Kobie is seeking a software engineer to join our remote-first team, contributing across the full stack using Java/Spring and Angular. You will design and build RESTful services, develop microservices in cloud environments, and work within an Agile framework to deliver robust loyalty solutions.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing applications with Java and Spring (prefer JDK 11+ with Spring Boot).
  • 3+ years of experience in front-end web application development.
  • 1+ years of experience with Angular (prefer version 10+).
  • 1+ years of experience developing RESTful services using JSON.
  • Experience building microservice cloud applications (AWS, Azure, or Oracle).
  • 1+ years of experience developing SQL across multiple tables (Oracle/PostgreSQL preferred).
  • Experience tuning SQL statements with explain plans.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in CS or related field preferred.
  • Experience developing Loyalty, Accounting, or Banking apps.
  • Knowledge of Message Queues (RabbitMQ/ActiveMQ/Kafka).
  • Building Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters (kubectl, Docker Desktop).
  • Build management tools: Bitbucket/Git, Gradle, Bamboo.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all phases of Agile methodology (planning, grooming, sprints).
  • Understand loyalty platform integration points (live APIs, batch, queue processing).
  • Join design sessions with product owners to solve acceptance criteria.
  • Create and maintain configuration and business logic documentation.
  • Mentor team members and promote good coding practices.
  • Set accurate time estimates and scope for tasks and projects.
  • Fill information gaps to complete work.
  • Develop simple solutions to complex problems.
  • Propose new ways to improve processes and components.
  • Collaborate effectively with other groups and third parties.

Travel Requirements

How you will make an impact

What you need to be successful
