Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking a Software Engineer at our Corporate Headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO. You will develop and maintain software for high fidelity missile warning training in a DoD environment.

Responsibilities include integrating in JLVC with C++/C#, agile practices, documentation, and customer interaction; experience with HLA/RTI-s/FOM is a plus and TS clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with C# .NET (preferred), Java, or C++.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Development in a DoD environment preferred.
• Active Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret.
• Experience with HLA, RTI-s and FOM preferred.

• Collaborate in a small team on development and integration of C# and C++ apps.
• Apply agile software development practices with unit testing and CI.

• Create and maintain software architecture diagrams and interface specs.
• Engage with customers to refine requirements and support reviews.

Job description

Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team at our Corporate Headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO. This position will focus on development and maintenance of software for high fidelity Missile Warning training. Successful candidates shouldbe detail-oriented and have excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Advanced consideration will be provided to candidates with experience with High Level Architecture (HLA) using Runtime Infrastructure Scalable (RTI-s) and Federation Object Models (FOM), a Space background, and knowledge of the Missile Warning and Missile Defense communities.

What you will be doing:

• Integrating existing software into the Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC) HLA environment using RTI-s and FOM using C++ and C#.
• Working as part of a small team on project development and integration of C# and C++ applications in a virtual environment.
• Performing agile software development in both unclassified and classified environments applying software engineering best practices including unit testing, peer code reviews, continuous integration, and design documentation.
• Implementing scalable software solutions using C++ and C#, ensuring code consistency, maintainability, and adherence to established architectural standards.
• Collaborating closely with project stakeholders to communicate project status, discuss architectural decisions, identify risks, and develop accurate schedule and effort estimates.
• Assisting with the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including software architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, interface specifications, progress reports, and milestone deliverables.
• Engaging directly with customers to gather and refine requirements, propose innovative technical solutions, create user and system documentation, and participate in requirements and design reviews.
• Analyzing business and user requirements to translate operational needs into functional software solutions and system enhancements.
• Contributing to the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment activities.
• Other tasks as directed.

What you will need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with C# .Net (preferred), Java, or C++.
• 5+ years of experience
• Development in a DoD environment preferred.
• Active Secret Security Clearance and must be able to obtain Top Secret (TS) clearance.
• Experience working with HLA, RTI-s, and FOM preferred. Experience with JLVC, ITW/AA, Missile Warning, OPIR, UEWR, NDS or MDA ground/sea-based sensors preferred. Candidate must have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and work well in a team environment and perform independently.
