Job summary

GRVTY seeks a Software Engineer with TS/SCI + Poly to join a key project in Chantilly, VA. You will leverage cloud services, Linux, and scripting to support mission-critical needs and analyze complex code.

The role emphasizes translating mission requirements into technical specs, collaborating across teams, and developing robust testing approaches to ensure quality and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
  • Experience in systems administration and supporting mission-critical systems.
  • Experience integrating AWS cloud services (Lambda, S3, Batch, EC2, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, IAM, DynamoDB, containers).
  • Proven ability to apply programming, tools, OS, and networking to solve collection needs.
  • Ability to translate mission needs into technical requirements for sponsors.
  • Experience documenting and communicating technical and non-technical requirements.
  • Experience working with multiple technical teams across boundaries.
  • Experience with Python programming.
  • Experience installing Linux from scratch and writing Unix shell scripts.
  • Experience using AWS CDK (not CDK substitutes).
  • Experience transforming data formats (JSON, CSV, XML).
  • Experience analyzing unknown software code and extracting behavior.

Job description

GRVTY is seeking a Software Engineer with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in Chantilly, VA.

What You Must Have
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
  • Experience in Systems Administration
  • Experience integrating cloud services including Lambda functions and layers, S3, Batch, EC2, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, IAM roles, DynamoDB, and container services, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging a background in programming, software tools and packages, operating systems, and networking to solve collection needs
  • Ability to gather mission needs and transform to technical requirements for Sponsor consideration.
  • Demonstrated experience documenting and communicating technical and non-technical mission requirements for all audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience working with other technical teams across multiple organizational boundaries.
  • Demonstrated experience with Python.
  • Demonstrated experience installing Linux from scratch and developing complex Unix shell scripts.
  • Demonstrated experience using AWS Cloud Development Kits (CDK). (CloudFormation, Terraform or similar are NOT substitutes for CDK experience)
  • Demonstrated experience transforming data in various file formats into common formats, such as JSON, CSV, or XML.
  • Experience analyzing unknown software code and extracting relevant fields to determine and mimic its behavior.
  • Ability to develop a software system testing harness or implement a continuous testing methodology on a project
What Would Be Nice to Have
  • Demonstrated experience with tools, such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, JADX, or APKtool.
  • Demonstrated experience with multiple cloud providers.
  • Demonstrated experience with other programming languages besides Python.
