Job Title: Software Engineer
Location: Austin, Texas
We are seeking a talented and experienced Systems Engineer to join our Enabling Technologies group, focused on the design, integration, and optimization of advanced surgical navigation, and visualization systems. This role supports the development of software- and hardware-integrated solutions for orthopedic procedures, with a strong emphasis on system-level architecture, performance, and reliability. The Systems Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, clinical research, and product management to define system requirements and ensure seamless integration of components across the surgical ecosystem. The ideal candidate is experienced in complex system design, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about developing technologies that improve surgical precision and patient outcomes.
Supports development of integrated surgical navigation, and visualization systems for orthopedic procedures Works across software, hardware, clinical, quality, and regulatory teams Responsible for system-level requirements, integration, and performance across complex medical platforms Contributes to both new product development and sustaining engineering activities
Primarily office or laboratory-based environment Occasional travel to manufacturing sites, clinical validation sites, and surgeon workshops Hands-on interaction with surgical instruments, navigation hardware, and integrated testing environments
