Abode Money in Austin is hiring a Software Engineer who is autonomous, reliable, and calm under pressure to own core systems end to end—from architecture to production reliability.

You'll work directly with the founders on property tax, insurance, and mortgage workflows, building scalable services and turning county rules and edge cases into robust engineering. This role requires 2+ years of hands-on backend/full-stack experience and a passion for AI.

The Role

We’re hiring a Software Engineer who is autonomous, reliable, and calm under pressure: the person people trust with the hard problems.

You’ll own the core systems behind property tax, insurance, and mortgage end to end, from architecture to production reliability, working directly with the founders.

• In Austin or willing to relocate. We work in person 5 days a week.

• 2+ years of engineering experience, owning systems end to end from architecture to production

• Strong backend or full-stack foundation with modern languages and cloud infrastructure

Compensation

$130,000 – $170,000 base, plus equity
