Job summary

Intent Talent Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer for a core engineering team driving fulfillment, order management, planning, analytics, or integrations within a growing supply chain SaaS platform.

You will own well-scoped features, contribute to design decisions, and take changes to production with team support. Expect collaboration with product managers, QA, services, and other engineers while building reliable, maintainable software.

Qualifications

• Experience building software as part of a collaborative engineering team.
• Strong knowledge of Java and object-oriented design; Spring Boot and Hibernate experience is important.
• Experience building web apps or APIs with TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (Angular/React).
• Experience with MySQL or another relational database, including querying and data modeling.

Our client, a growing supply chain software company, is hiring a Software Engineer for its core engineering team. Depending on current product needs and your experience, you may work on fulfillment, order management, planning, analytics, or integrations.

On this team, you’ll own well-scoped features and components, contribute to design decisions, and take changes all the way to production, with support from teammates when needed.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain features across the company’s SaaS platform using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, TypeScript, Angular, and MySQL.
• Turn customer and business problems into software that is reliable, maintainable, and useful in production.
• Design services, APIs, workflows, data models, and user interfaces that fit the problem and the surrounding product architecture.
• Write automated tests that protect behavior and catch real bugs.
• Investigate defects and performance issues by reproducing the problem, reading logs and traces, testing assumptions, and fixing root causes.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, refinement, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with product managers, quality engineers, professional services, customer experience, and engineers on adjacent teams.
• Document decisions, operational considerations, and anything another engineer would need to support or extend your work.
• Improve the codebase and development process when you see recurring friction, quality gaps, or technical debt.
• Use AI coding tools as part of your engineering workflow, and review generated code carefully to validate its behavior, security, and fit with existing systems.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience building software as part of a collaborative engineering team, and an understanding of what it takes to keep code reliable after it ships.
• Experience with Java and object-oriented design. Spring Boot and Hibernate experience is important for this role.
• Experience building web applications or APIs with TypeScript and a modern frontend framework such as Angular or React.
• Experience with MySQL or another relational database, including writing queries, data modeling, and performance tuning.
• A habit of writing automated tests and using code review to improve quality.
• The ability to understand a problem before coding, ask focused questions, make sound decisions, and raise risks early.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including explaining technical choices to engineers and product partners.
• Ownership of your work after it merges. You care how it behaves in staging and production, not just whether it compiles.
• Curiosity about supply chain and fulfillment software. Prior supply chain experience isn’t required, but you should want to understand how customers use the product.
• Thoughtful use of AI across design, implementation, debugging, testing, and documentation, in ways that speed up delivery without lowering quality.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud services, especially AWS.
• Experience with integrations, messaging, distributed systems, reporting, analytics, or high-volume data processing.
• Experience with enterprise applications or external systems such as ecommerce, ERP, shipping, or material handling systems.
• Experience with supply chain, warehouse management, order management, inventory, demand planning, or related operations.
