Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Technical / Software Engineering Coach to join a Software Dojo for a major airline. You will work hands-on with engineers to upskill them in XP, paired programming, mutation testing, and code craftsmanship, guiding modernization efforts.

This consulting role (W2 or Corp-Corp) offers rate flexibility and a comprehensive benefits package. Interviews and starts are planned for July 2026.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software engineering background required.
• Experience coaching software teams to improve practices and skills.
• Familiarity with transitioning large monoliths to cloud/digital technologies.

Responsibilities

• Create a software Dojo environment to practice and master technical excellence.
• Coach on XP, code smells, mutation testing, and Code Craftsmanship principles.
• Help upskill developers, shifting ownership from hands-on tasks to technical leadership.
• Guide architecture modernization to support cloud-ready solutions.
• Advise on Jira usage and governance within controls/compliance.
