Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Technical Coach in Fort Worth, TX to raise engineering discipline and improve delivery flow. You will coach in the work by pairing in code, shaping team routines, and making improvements measurable and durable.

You will influence without authority and leave teams more capable and independent. Hybrid work arrangement with 3–4 days on-site and a focus on XP, Lean, and AI-assisted development to drive end-to-end value for customers.

Qualifications

Experience delivering software with pair programming and refactoring guidance.
XP practices including test-first development, continuous integration, and trunk-based development.
Legacy code techniques and risk-driven modernization.
Experience with AI-assisted development and evaluating AI tooling.

Responsibilities

Coach engineers, architects, scrum leads, and engineering managers in XP and Lean ways of working.
Partner with Product Coaches to align technical decisions, sequencing, and tradeoffs with product outcomes.
Coach teams to apply systems thinking using story maps and discovery trees to clarify outcomes and connect technical work to customer value.
Enable small-batch delivery by slicing work, shortening feedback loops, and deploying frequently with strong tests and CI/CD.
Communicate progress with evidence, impact, and next steps.
Hold a high standard while adapting to context without lowering the bar.
