Job summary

PeopleTec, Inc. is seeking a Track Identification Service Software Development Team Product Owner in Huntsville, AL. You will lead prioritization for TIS software, validate designs, and guide the Agile team on CID-based classification concepts for C2 systems.

Ideal candidates have DoD experience, active Secret clearance, and a bachelor’s degree (ABET preferred). The role includes briefings to leadership and collaboration with program management on sprint priorities and risks.

Qualifications

• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and validate the development software for the TIS team.
• Review and understand Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms and provide guidance to the development team.
• Set priorities for capabilities and defects for each product increment and sprint.
• Provide technical briefings and advisement to leadership on status and recommended actions, risks, and impacts.
• Work with Agile software developers and participate in code reviews.

Opportunity

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Track Identification Service Software Development Team Product Ownerto support our Huntsville, ALlocation.

The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) TIS (Track Identification Services) SW (Software) Development Team Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO). The PO will be responsible for the Prioritization and validation of the development software for the TIS team. The TIS team is responsible for the identification and classification of tracks in the C2 (Command and Control) software. The position will include reviewing and understanding Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms and providing guidance to the development team. The product owner will work with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects of the team for each product increment and sprint. The position will include technical briefings and advisement to leadership on the status and recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts on the IFMC mission.

The candidate must have a good understanding of CID (Classification, Identification and Discrimination) used in C2 systems including IFF, ADS-B, Air Tasking Orders, and NCTR. The candidate must have the ability to provide oversight to the development team and verify the team's work based on agreed-upon acceptance criteria, including attending code reviews. The candidate must be able to work directly with the Agile software developers.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

Education Requirements:

• Have a bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics

Desired Skills:

• An additional plus is knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS and familiarity with current CID measures in one or more of the DoD services. Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team is a plus.
