Job summary

Ring is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead a team of engineers building safety and security connected devices like sensors and cameras. The role focuses on end-to-end software development, QA, and production systems with impact on millions of Ring customers.

You will partner with product and program management, guide architectural decisions, and manage day-to-day work in an Agile environment, while mentoring the team and shaping the engineering strategy in Sunnyvale, CA.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams.
• Experience collaborating with product and program management.
• Experience designing scalable and reliable systems.
• Knowledge of SDLC including code reviews, source control, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Own software development and QA end to end.
• Architect and develop strong technical designs with engineers.
• Deliver results against project plans.
• Manage day‑to‑day activities in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Oversee department resources, staffing, and mentoring.
• Build, enhance, and maintain the engineering team.
• Report status of development, quality, operations, and performance.
• Maintain and enhance software framework.
