Amazon's AWS IAM Auth Consistency team seeks a Software Development Manager to lead engineers who build tools and frameworks validating authentication and authorization correctness at scale. This high-visibility role engages senior leadership as it reinforces customer trust across AWS services.
You will drive AI-driven testing innovations, expand coverage, and mentor a team to continuously improve the security posture while delivering reliable verification across the AWS ecosystem.
AWS customers trust that their security works correctly and consistently across every service they use. The Auth Consistency team exists to validate and uphold that trust.
As a Software Development Manager on the Auth Consistency team, you'll lead engineers who build the tools, frameworks, and mechanisms that verify authentication and authorization correctness at AWS scale. This is a high-visibility role with direct engagement from senior leadership, because the problem you're solving is one customers care deeply about: knowing that their security posture is correct no matter which AWS services they use.
This team is at an exciting inflection point. AI opens new frontiers for how we approach testing, coverage, and verification at scale. There is significant opportunity to pioneer novel AI-driven approaches to generating test cases, expanding coverage in ways that were previously impractical, and helping remediate issues faster. You'll have the mandate to explore and invest in these directions.
If you're passionate about security, quality, AI-driven innovation, and building a team that raises the bar, we want to talk to you.
The Auth Consistency team is part of IAM Data Plane within AWS Identity. Our mission is to ensure that authentication and authorization work correctly and consistently across every AWS service. We build the testing infrastructure, run validation campaigns, and drive remediation when we find gaps.
This team has high visibility with senior leadership because the problem we solve is fundamental to customer trust. When customers configure IAM policies, they expect those policies to behave identically regardless of which AWS service they interact with. We are the team that ensures this expectation holds true.
