Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle seeks a Software Development Manager to lead a team of senior engineers building scalable services and web interfaces across AWS regions.

You will shape product strategy, drive design discussions, and mentor engineers, while partnering with stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-impact solutions. You will be responsible for operational excellence, cross-team collaboration, and setting technical direction with data-driven decisions to ensure customer success

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience.
• 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience.

Responsibilities

• As a Software Development Manager, you will lead a team of senior engineers building services and user interfaces that operate across multiple AWS regions.
• You will drive product strategy, roadmap, and stakeholder engagement while mentoring and managing a team of Software Development Engineers.
• You will contribute to and lead design, architecture, process, and development discussions, and champion the right outcomes with data, conviction, and diplomacy.
• You will drive operational excellence, build scalable mechanisms to audit and inspect cross-functional initiatives, remove barriers, and make decisions.
