Job summary

Amazon.com LLC’s ARI-SciCom Engineering team builds software powering scientific publishing and collaboration across Amazon. We operate tools enabling the full lifecycle of scientific communication, from authoring to conferences and impact assessment, serving thousands of Amazon scientists and collaborators.

The Incoming SDM will own and accelerate the Next Generation of Science Infrastructure at Amazon, leading AI-powered review tools, the Science Directory, and research impact tracking.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs and agile teams.
• Experience leading design, build and deployment of scalable software in production.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ARI-SciCom Engineering team and own the technical vision for tools enabling scientific discovery at Amazon scale.
• Balance operational excellence with ambitious AI-powered product development and drive roadmap prioritization.
• Collaborate with science leadership, conference organizers, and non-engineering stakeholders to translate needs into engineering requirements.
