Job summary

Amazon Quick is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead a high‑performing team delivering third‑party integrations that connect Quick to business systems. You will own the technical vision, roadmap, and architecture, guiding engineers to scale while delivering measurable business impact.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product and cross‑functional partners, and drive design decisions with a focus on quality, maintainability, and security.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years designing or architecting scalable systems.
• 8+ years leading the definition and development of multi‑tier web services.
• Experience with full software/hardware/networks lifecycle practices (coding standards, reviews, source control, builds, testing, live site ops).
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a software development team, coaching engineers across levels.
• Own the 1–2 year technical roadmap for your team's software systems.
• Drive system design decisions balancing scalability, maintainability, performance, and security.
• Create operational mechanisms and metrics to monitor system health and customer experience.
• Identify opportunities to integrate generative AI tools responsibly into team workflows.
