Job summary

The City of Charlotte’s Innovation & Technology Department is seeking a Software Development Lead to design, develop, modernize, and support mission-critical applications for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. You’ll provide technical leadership across the full SDLC, focusing on cloud migrations that are secure, scalable, and reliable for a law enforcement environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• 5–7 years of software development experience with Microsoft .NET technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, development, and delivery of scalable, secure software solutions.
• Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance web/mobile/desktop apps across the SDLC.
• Build web apps using .NET technologies: C#, ASP.NET, Blazor, MVC.Net, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Design and optimize SQL Server and Oracle databases, with complex queries and stored procedures.
• Create and maintain RESTful and SOAP APIs for data integration and delivery.
• Lead modernization and migration to AWS or other cloud environments.
