Job summary

Amazon is seeking fungible software development engineers to join the Ads, LEO, Devices, and Entertainment Teams in Seattle. You will design and implement highly available cloud services in Java, build Tier-1 systems, and tackle distributed challenges at scale.

You will leverage generative AI to accelerate delivery, work with cross-functional teams across Amazon, and contribute to operational excellence through monitoring, on-call duties, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available, scalable cloud services in Java.
• Build and operate Tier-1 services at massive scale
• Solve novel and complex distributed systems challenges from low-latency communication to fault-tolerant architectures
• Leverage generative AI extensively in your day-to-day development workflow to accelerate delivery and improve code quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams across Amazon to define technical direction and deliver customer-facing features
• Contribute to a culture of operational excellence, including on-call support, monitoring, and continuous improvement
