Job summary

Amazon is seeking fungible software development engineers for the Ads, LEO, Devices, and Entertainment teams in Austin, TX. You will design and implement highly available cloud services in Java and operate Tier-1 services at massive scale, while solving complex distributed systems challenges.

You will leverage Generative AI to accelerate delivery and improve code quality, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define technical direction and deliver customer-facing features.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience designing or architecting large-scale distributed systems
• Experience in OO design and multi-tiered architectures

Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available, scalable cloud services in Java
• Build and operate Tier-1 services at massive scale
• Solve novel distributed systems challenges, including low-latency communication and fault tolerance
• Leverage Generative AI extensively to accelerate delivery and improve code quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Amazon to define technical direction and deliver customer-facing features
• Contribute to operational excellence with on-call support, monitoring and continuous improvement
