The Pricing Shared Services team manages core systems responsible for setting product prices on Amazon Retail. Our systems handle data vending, notifications, and price publishing, supporting multiple pricing strategy teams in building and submitting price recommendations. These systems process thousands of transactions per second and compute prices for billions of listings monthly. We are developing new services to significantly increase our publishing capacity and support a growing number of Amazon businesses through multi-tenant architecture. Collaboration with product, science, and business teams is key to innovating and applying advanced computer science techniques to design, build, and improve our systems. We foster experimentation and learning, making the process engaging and fun.

We seek a passionate, talented Software Development Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and innovating. In this role, you will develop services leveraging your expertise across various technologies, dive into distributed systems to optimize for performance, scalability, and maintainability, and contribute to new features and system creation. You will write clean, maintainable code, integrate data from multiple services, and help develop your team through peer reviews and mentoring.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture, including reliability and scaling
• Experience programming in at least one software language
• Bachelor's Degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations
