Amazon Kuiper Infrastructure LLC is seeking a senior software leader to design and deliver critical software used to test, process, and verify the Amazon Leo satellites for launch. You will own system architecture, drive security and scalability, and mentor a team of engineers located at Kennedy Space Center and beyond.
The role emphasizes leading multi-engineer projects, building AWS data services for real-time fleet visibility, and promoting best practices in CI/CD and operations.
We are Amazon Leo, Amazons low Earth orbit satellite broadband network, on a mission to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities worldwide. Our software sits on the critical path before every satellite leaves the ground, powering automated health checks, software configuration management, and fleet-wide visibility for hundreds of satellites. We are a small team that values technical ownership and direct communication, and our tools are written in Python and deployed on AWS for manufacturing engineers, mission teams, and launch operators at Kennedy Space Center. This role offers the chance to lead software that directly supports launch campaigns and has visible impact on every satellite that reaches orbit.
