This role is a Software Development Manager in the Leo Payload Software organization, responsible for driving the research, development, deployment, and operation of Leo Payload. The software drives hardware, firmware, and networking on the satellite to manage all radio communications between satellites and the ground gateways and customer terminals, and also provides device drivers and services for managing redundancy, operational, and thermal state of the payload. The manager owns the roadmap and mission for software, works with customers to refine requirements and understand constraints, hires and grows the team, and iteratively delivers value to customers.
Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low‑latency, high‑speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The Leo Payload software team is responsible for life‑cycle management of RF links, and for transporting customer data and Leo management/control traffic over RF and optical links in the Leo system.

The base salary range for this position is $184,900.00 – $250,200.00 USD annually. The Amazon package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
