Job summary

KMM Technologies is seeking a Senior SDET/Automation Engineer with a healthcare claims background to lead automation initiatives in Reston, VA. This hybrid contract role requires building frameworks from scratch using Java, Selenium, Playwright, TypeScript, and Karate, plus strong SQL/API testing and AWS migration experience.

The ideal candidate will own test strategies, integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate within Agile teams while addressing performance and security

Qualifications

Req 51023 Sr. Software Engineer (SDET from Healthcare Claims Background) - 3+ months Contract Assignment - Reston, VA Hybrid Role (DMV Local ) - One Virtual Interviews

• The client needs a Senior SDET/Automation Engineer with a mandatory background in Healthcare Claims and hands-on experience migrating legacy apps to AWS with MongoDB/PostgreSQL.
• They require deep expertise in database testing (complex SQL queries) and RESTful API testing, alongside strong Java programming skills.
• The candidate must be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in TypeScript and Karate, capable of driving framework development and strategy in these tools "not just basic familiarity or working as an Automation Tool".
• They also expect strong proficiency in Selenium WebDriver and Playwright with the proven ability to build automation frameworks entirely from scratch using BDD/TDD approaches.
• The role demands seamless integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions "CI/CD DevOps Experience is required") and validation of cloud-native, microservices-based architectures.
• Proactive collaborator who works well in Agile/Scrum, takes ownership of test results, and understands performance/security testing and reporting tools.
