Title: Software Development Engineer III
Location: 15 James Street, Newark, NJ 07102
Serve as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle end-to-end, from scoping, planning, conception, design, implementation, and testing, to documentation, delivery, and maintenance.
Participate in the design, development, implementation, testing and documentation of mobile or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using Java, Node.js or Object-Oriented Design.
Provide design reviews for other engineers, including feedback on architecture and design issues, as well as integration, performance, and scalability.
Manage resources on multiple technical projects and ensure schedules, milestones, and priorities are compatible with technology and business goals.
Translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture.
Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation.
Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools.
Mentor junior development engineers.
Position reports into Newark, NJ office; however, telecommuting may also be allowed.
Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field plus two (2) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or a related occupation involving software development.
Experience may be gained concurrently and must include two (2) years in each of the following:

Salary: $189,592 - $250,200 /year. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
