Job summary

Audible is seeking a Software Development Engineer to define, design and refine the technology that drives our audiobooks platform. You will lead a team, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver scalable, high‑quality software solutions for millions of listeners.

You’ll mentor teammates, improve software quality, and influence engineering decisions. In this role, you’ll design and test software components, work with an agile team, and tackle challenging problems with a focus on customer value.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

• Mentor and lead developers, fostering curiosity and deep technical understanding

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
