Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Boston is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to design, build, and operate scalable systems powering experiences for millions of customers.

You will tackle complex technical problems and deliver high-quality software across the full development lifecycle. Qualificações

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement software solutions that address complex business and technical challenges, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance across major components of your team's systems.
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle — from product definition and scoping through design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing operations — delivering incremental, high-quality results.
• Write clean, well-documented code and participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to teammates and coaching others on engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams to understand customer needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Evaluate emerging tools and approaches, including generative AI capabilities, to identify opportunities for improving productivity, software quality, and team processes.
