We are the Santos/Buy with Prime (BwP) Identity and Access Management (IAM) team, and we're looking for a Software Development Engineer to build products that are fundamental to Amazon’s future. We are tackling some of the world’s most intriguing problems involving software architecture design, customer experience, and business strategy.

This role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to hit the ground running. You will be responsible to design, develop and maintain scalable, secure, authentication and authorization solutions ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. You will work with the latest identity systems, integrate with various applications, and enhance security measures while improving user experience. You will work on front and backend services that can scale to millions of requests, build products that will reach millions of customers and deploy them globally delivering an exceptional customer experience. Our projects span across Amazon Merchants, Consumers and AWS business lines as we work to build high volume customer facing services. You will work closely with and learn from a large Principal Engineering community with direct interaction with project leadership team. As innovators who embrace new technology, you will be empowered to choose the right highly scalable and available technology to solve complex problems and will directly influence product design. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2. 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
3. Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
2. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
