Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond is seeking a software engineer to design and build scalable services powering Leo's global supply chain and commerce operations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain components for Leo's Commerce Services and related platforms, contributing to a robust distributed system that connects customers to the Leo satellite network.

Formación

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related experience.
• 1+ years designing large-scale, multi-tiered or distributed software applications.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS/Engineering/Math or related field.
• Experience programming with at least one programming language.

Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites delivering low-latency, high-speed broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide.

This role offers a rare opportunity to work like a startup within Amazon on one of our most exciting new initiatives. You will partner with Amazon's supply chain, Trades, and Leo Commerce engineering teams to design and build the applications and services that power global supply chain operations for Amazon Leo - even in countries where Amazon does not currently operate. Your work will directly shape how customers around the world access and receive Leo's hardware, connecting them to our satellite network.

Export Control Requirement

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable software components across the full development lifecycle - scoping, architecture design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance - for Leo's Commerce Services and supply chain applications.

The Leo Fulfillment Technology team builds the engineering solutions that power global supply chain operations and deliver the best customer experience for receiving and returning Amazon Leo's hardware, the gateway for customers to connect to the Leo satellite network.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
