Job summary

Audible is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design, build, and maintain the platform that powers millions of listeners worldwide. You’ll work with modern languages, cloud services, and data systems to deliver reliable, scalable software in an agile environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional partners, apply CS fundamentals, improve OE, and help mentor junior engineers while contributing to innovative audio storytelling technology. Cambridge, MA opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/CE/DS or related STEM field.
• Experience with modern languages including OO design concepts.
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain software components for Audible's platform.
• Identify and resolve defects through code reviews and debugging.
• Write maintainable, scalable code within an agile team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and launch user-focused software.
• Apply CS principles to solve moderate-scale problems.
• Improve testability, OE, and documentation for owned components.
• Handle data classification, storage, and policy compliance.
• Participate in interviews and mentor fellow engineers.
