Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Seattle, WA to design and build highly scalable identity infrastructure, control and data plane components, and deployment orchestration. You will work on cross-account access, security integrations, and production reliability.

You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to architecture decisions while influencing operational excellence in a fast-paced cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.

AWS Directory Service is a fully managed service that allows customers to set up and run directories in the AWS cloud, or to connect AWS resources with their existing on-premises Active Directory. It’s a high-scale, highly available distributed system supporting sub-second latency micro-services to a large growing customer base. We support the scale of millions of requests per second and the service needs to be always available. As a managed offering, we take care of building and maintaining a secure, complex, highly available directory topology for our customers to easily manage their users, groups and resources. The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
