Amazon Photos is looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to join the AI/ML inference team, as we continue to push the boundaries of what's possible with computer vision and deep learning technologies for Amazon Photos. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build exciting features being built by Amazon Photos using AI/ML technologies and delight our large customer base by providing them with fulfilling customer experiences. We have challenging tasks ahead in our roadmap in problem spaces like image and video understanding, semantic and natural language search and we are looking for an engineer to spearhead development of these features.

One of our top priorities is scaling our semantic natural language search feature across the U.S. and international markets. This will involve leveraging advanced AI and machine learning capabilities to power enhanced search and memory generation for our customers. We’re particularly excited about the potential of large language models (LLMs) to improve natural language understanding and enable new user experiences. We also plan to expand our understanding of images and videos, extracting additional signals from them to drive better customer experiences.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
