Software Development Engineer, Amazon Ads

Passionate about Big Data and Distributed Systems? Interested in building state-of-the-art products at Petabyte scale? Join a team of industry-leading experts operating one of Amazon's largest big data analytics platforms. We handle end-to-end processing of impressions, views, clicks, and video or rich media events in ads, utilizing the latest machine learning and big data technologies on terabytes of data daily (over 30B new events per day) across Petabyte-sized clusters. Our data must be high-fidelity, critical for campaign monitoring and adjustments, and integral to measuring campaign success.

We seek an experienced software engineer proficient in open source technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Presto, and AWS services like EMR, Redshift, Kinesis, and DynamoDB. Your role will involve designing and developing software products for measurement and reporting across Amazon's advertising platforms, including display, search, native, and video ads on all devices.

Applicants should have strong software engineering fundamentals and real-world experience, demonstrating architectural skills, design pattern knowledge, and the ability to develop maintainable, scalable software in high-level languages.
