job summary:

This person will be responsible for improving and fixing issues impacting game stability and developer workflows, including data validation, test automation and Unreal engine upgrade integrations.

location: Redmond, Washington

job type: Contract

salary: $49 - 59 per hour

work hours: 8am to 5pm

responsibilities:

Expand and maintain data validation systems --Implement data validation telemetry --Improve validation performance --Add new validators and improve content creator workflows -Engine stability and maintenance --Integrate Unreal Engine service releases, assist with major upgrades. --Investigate and fix issues arising from Unreal upgrade integrations --Monitor daily test automation results and investigate failures --Assess ownership of test failures and fix or hand off where appropriate --Improve and expand engine test coverage --Implement Unreal editor and automation telemetry

qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience working in C++. Minimum of 5 years of experience with Unreal Engine development, bonus for experience with data validation and Gauntlet automation. Proficiency in writing efficient and effective unit tests. Experience using data and observability solutions to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for automation and build health. Experience with Perforce source control system. Experience with CI/CD tools, e.g. Jenkins, ADO Knowledge of software development best practices, including agile methodologies and continuous integration and deployment. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis of critical problems. Outstanding communication and writing skills, including ability to ask questions or share information with clarity and brevity in a team-oriented environment. Experience with Jira work item tracking. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
