Software Development Engineer – Constellation Enablement Software (CES) team, Westminster, CO (Hybrid: 3 days office, 2 days remote).
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support software within a service-oriented architecture integrated via Vantor CI/CD pipeline.
- Assist the CES team and broader Vantor software teams to adopt software best practices.
- Lead collaborative design/development efforts and guide other developers when necessary.
- Resolve defects in software services as identified.
- Provide architectural and design advice for cloud-based distributed tech stack.
- Develop automated unit, integration, and functional tests.
- Troubleshoot and remediate operational issues.
- Support deadlines and communicate issues/results.
- Participate in Communities of Practice to improve best practices.
Minimum Requirements
- U.S. citizen, able to obtain U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of software development experience in complex software systems (or 3 years with advanced degree).
- Ability to learn quickly and multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration, verbal, written, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Expertise with Python and supporting code in a pipeline deployment workflow.
- Experience developing Linux applications, REST/JSON/PostgreSQL/AWS.
Desired Skills
- Aerospace and/or Satellite Ground Systems experience.
- Test automation frameworks: Pytest, Cucumber, Gherkin, Behave.
- Typescript (Angular/React) and/or JavaScript expertise.
- Experience deploying and managing PaaS tools such as Kubernetes.
- Analytical platforms: Jupyter, MATLAB, etc.
- Docker or other containerization technologies.
- Agile Scrum / SAFe environment experience.
- Operational support of Linux-based systems and AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Python Django or other Python REST frameworks.
- ELK Tech Stack experience.
Pay Transparency
Base pay range for Colorado: $102,000.00 – $136,000.00 – $149,600.00 annually. Other states set by market-driven ranges.
