Job summary

Vantor is seeking a senior DevOps/DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and sustain CI/CD pipelines using open source tools. You will automate deployments with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized systems, and enforce security integrations throughout the software delivery process.

You will collaborate with software and systems teams to enable rapid, reliable releases in a hybrid deployment environment, with a strong emphasis on automation, testing, and metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience with Git for source configuration management.
  • CI & CD development using Bash, Python, Jenkins, or GitLab.
  • Experience with automated deployment technologies such as CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
  • Cloud deployment experience on OpenStack or OpenShift.
  • Open-source deployment and maintenance experience.
  • Moderate Linux system administration (RedHat/CentOS).
  • Solid knowledge of Linux/Windows, web services and SQL databases.
  • Experience in an Agile environment.
  • Willingness to work onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and maintain DevOps and DevSecOps pipelines using open source tools.
  • Integrate automated deployments using containerized systems (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Rancher).
  • Implement CI/CD to support rapid development and integration.
  • Automate environments via Infrastructure as Code.
  • Integrate static code analysis and security into pipelines.
  • Design hybrid deployment strategies (cloud and local).
  • Collaborate with engineers to apply automated test and documentation processes.
  • Generate and monitor deployment/test metrics dashboards.
  • Troubleshoot network, pipelines, and infrastructure issues.
  • Build, maintain and monitor release products.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Design, implement and maintain multiple DevOps and DevSecOps pipelines leveraging industry standard open source tools, including Ansible, Jenkins/GitLab, SonarQube, Cucumber, Cypress, ArgoCD, and similar tools. Identify, review, select, and integrate new tools into the pipelines.
  • Integrate automated deployments of DevSecOps tools and application services leveraging Keycloak, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Rancher and other containerized systems
  • Implement CD & CI solutions to support rapid development and integration.
  • Integrate and enforce complete automation of environments using Infrastructure as code.
  • Integrate static code analysis and other security mechanisms into pipeline.
  • Design and apply hybrid deployment strategy (cloud and local virtualized).
  • Work with software and system engineers to apply automated test and documentation processes.
  • Generate and monitor success using metrics dashboards of deployment status and test results.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network, automation pipelines, and infrastructure issues.
  • Build, maintain, and monitor configuration management of release products.
Minimum Requirements
  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to pass a CI polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of Industry related experience.
  • Experience with source configuration management tools such as Git.
  • CI & CD development experience with technologies like Bash, Python, Jenkins, or GitLab.
  • Experience with automated deployment technologies such as Cloud Formation, Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
  • Cloud Technologies deployment experience on OpenStack or Openshift.
  • Open-source application deployments and maintenance.
  • Custom source application deployments and maintenance.
  • Moderate LINUX system administration experience (RedHat and/or CentOS).
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, web services and SQL databases.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Must be willing and able to work onsite.
Desired Skills
  • Security+ or comparable certification for privileged user access.
  • Experience with distributed processing methods and tools, such as REST APIs, microservices, IaaS/PaaS services.
  • Experience developing and deploying web services.
  • Experience supporting software in a production environment.
Pay Transparency

To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidate’s experience, expertise, and alignment with the role.

The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $124,000.00 - $165,000.00 - $181,500.00 annually.

The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $137,000.00 - $182,000.00 - $200,200.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
