Job summary

Chenega MIOS in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Software Developer T3 to design, develop, test, implement, and maintain software solutions for government applications.

You will work with Product Owners, QA, and architects to deliver features within an Agile environment using C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and shell scripting. The role involves SAFe Agile participation, code reviews, and documentation, with focus on secure, compliant coding and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience; or 4+ additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in software development or software integration projects in a service-oriented, cloud, web services, or virtualization environment.
• Experience with C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or shell scripting.
• DoD 8570 Certification Compliance at IAT Level II or III, including Security+ or an equivalent compliant certification.
• Must possess a Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access and a Counterintelligence Polygraph.
• Successfully pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners, QA Managers, the Chief Architect, and development teams in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software solutions.
• Participate in SAFe Agile activities, including daily team coordination, backlog refinement, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Review and implement software requirements, support task execution, and contribute to deployment activities.
• Administer and modify existing Government Off-the-Shelf code and integrate open-source software solutions for display in a web application.
• Develop and maintain solutions using C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and shell scripting, as applicable.
• Create and document functionality in GitLab repositories and use DevOps principles and tools to deliver features within an Agile environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects, maintain secure and agency-compliant code baselines, participate in code reviews, and document technical solutions.
• Use Jira, Confluence, and other team collaboration tools to support application development and delivery.
• Help maintain overall system code coverage above 80 percent while supporting software quality, performance, and continuous improvement.
• Create and maintain systems engineering documentation, including version description documents and diagrams.
• Other duties as assigned.
