Job summary

CFD Research Corporation in Huntsville, AL seeks a Software Developer to build tools for analyzing, reducing, and visualizing complex simulation data for missile defense systems. You will streamline PTA data handling, run trade studies, and accelerate test-case generation in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required; active DoD SECRET Clearance.
• Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering/Math/Physics or related STEM with 2+ years software engineering.
• Proficient programming in Python, MATLAB, and C++ with ability to learn others.
• Experience with object-oriented programming and Git.
• Ability to perform trade studies and lead bi-monthly feature demos for external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct trade studies to evaluate PTA tools and present findings to leadership; collaborate with SMEs to understand CONOPs, test procedures, and data parameters.
• Maintain and prioritize feature backlogs in Jira alongside the GSD team; write, test, and deploy code within PTA tools to perform automated test-step validation.
• Streamline input generation to boost the speed and efficiency of building complex test cases.
• Conduct progress demos of working test scripts, submit deliverables for peer review, and author user guides on analysis best practices.
