Job summary

CFD Research in Huntsville, AL seeks a Senior Software Developer to lead multidisciplinary efforts building tools for missile-defense data analysis and visualization. You will drive PTA architecture, trade studies, automated test frameworks, and Agile software delivery, partnering with customer leadership to accelerate test-case generation and ensure validation accuracy.

Requirements include U.S. citizenship and an active DoD SECRET clearance, a STEM bachelor's degree with 8+ years in software

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required; active DoD SECRET Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with extensive software engineering experience.
• Advanced programming skills in Python, MATLAB, and C++ with multi-language architectures.
• Strong OO design, software architecture, and system design experience.
• Proven experience with CI/CD workflows and Git repository management.
• Ability to lead trade studies, present to executives, and mentor teammates.

Responsibilities

• Lead trade studies and define CONOPs, tests, and validation standards.
• Drive backlog prioritization and PTA codebase development in Jira, enabling automated validation.
• Architect automated input generation to speed up test-case construction.
• Demonstrate progress with working test scripts and author guides on best practices.
