Job Description

Trilogy Innovations is seeking Software Developers to remotely support our federal customer. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team and participate in a multi-year initiative to modernize large-scale IT systems for our federal client. The role requires at least a Secret Security Clearance, with primary work location remote.

Role Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years of work experience.
• Active Tier 3 Secret clearance.
• Proficiency in Java (OOP) Full Stack Development.
• Experience with Containerization and Kubernetes.

Must Have Skills:

• Proficient in Java Object-Oriented Programming.
• Experience with Cloud-native architectures, including event-driven architectures and streaming (preferred).
• Experience with Kubernetes for deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications.
• Experience with GitOps tools like GitLab, Bitbucket, ArgoCD, Tecton.
• Experience with large-scale systems.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Apache Kafka, including Pub/Sub, streaming, and event sourcing.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with AWS.
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain general and specialized software applications.
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
• Design or customize software to optimize operational efficiency.
• Design and develop databases within application areas, working independently or as part of a team.
• Research, develop, and test operating systems, compilers, and network software for various applications.
• Define operational specifications and analyze software requirements.
• Design embedded systems software.
• Apply principles of computer science, engineering, and math.

High-level objects include:

• Migrating system functionality to a cloud environment (AWS GovCloud).
• Incorporating modern name search capabilities.
• Enhancing image handling for larger files and additional formats like PDF.
• Transitioning investigative search to Elasticsearch for faster responses.
• Building microservices architecture within containers using OpenShift.
• Moving database functionality from IBM DB2 to cloud data stores.
• Updating NIEM schemas and IEPDs for improved functionality and retirement of older message formats.
